Introduction
This is a combined program of undergraduate and graduate courses. The educational objective is to nurture personnel who can work for research projects of the government. To this end, the Department provides advanced courses of control and automation, electric energy, semiconductor and VLSL, and communications and signal processing.
The master's program aims to develop fundamental ability to conduct research and capacity to solve problems encountered in industry. The doctorate program places emphasis on developing ability to produce a new finding on the bassis of thorough knowledge on majoring subjects. The courses offered target at learning theories while participating in research projects and developing ability to carry out projects.
As of August 2012, seventy five students enrolled in a graduate school program.
Educational objectives
The educational objective of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department is to nurture professional manpower who can play a pivotal role in national research projects by providing advanced courses of control and automation, electric energy, semiconductor, VLSL, communications and signal processing as well as developing professional skills connected to under graduate courses.

The master's program aims to develop fundamental skills to conduct research and ability to solve problems encountered in industry. The doctorate program places emphasis on improving research ability to produce successful outputs on the basis of thorough knowledge on majoring subjects. The program helps develop both theoretical framework and problem solving skills by providing specific major education and project based education. Thus, the theoretical research capability on their majors and high level of adaptability to practical research at national research institutes are fostered. In order to contribute to development of national economy as professionals, not only advanced knowledge and research & development capability but also the proper hierarchy of value and good personality are important. For this reason, various seminars such as lab seminar, team seminars, course seminars, presentations, departmental seminars, and cooperative research with undergraduate students are conducted to help learn cooperation, personality, originality, diligence, creation and concentration.
Educational content
1. Purpose
This regulation aims to specify matters relating to academic affairs of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department in the Graduate School.

2. Academic advisor
Students must finish appointing their academic advisor before their first semester ends. Their request has the first priority but the approval from the appointed professor is needed. The department head serves as a temporary advisor until the appointment of their advisors.

3. The Graduate School Committee of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department
The Graduate School Committee is composed of five members who are appointed by the department head. This committee shall be taking care of all the matters of the Graduate School. However, important matters are decided by a departmental meeting.

4. Qualifications for master’s/doctoral degree
The Graduate School Committee of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department shall be in charge of all the matters on English and comprehensive examinations. The qualification for master’s/doctoral degree is as follows.
▣ Master’s program:
∙ Pass English and comprehensive exams
∙One or more presentations at a national or international conference as a first author before the submission due of the thesis examination result
▣ Doctoral program:
∙ Pass English and comprehensive exams
∙ More than two papers published (or to be published) in national or international journals or one SCI(E) paper publication (or to be published) as a first author before the submission due of the thesis examination result

5. Admission
The screening process for admission is as follows. However, the departmental selection committee shall regulate details. Students are admitted based on two categories, regular and special admission. However, if there is no one applicable to special admission, students are admitted by regular admission.
▣ Special admission: the students fall under the following conditions are admitted first up to 15% of entrance quota
① Third prize(or higher) winner at a national electrical/electronic information related contest or first/second prize winner at a contest held by provinces.
② Students with practical qualifications in various electrical/electronic information fields including programming languages(submit documents proving the practical qualifications)
▣ Regular admission: Students are admitted under standards set by the Graduate School based on undergraduate grades, interview and English score, The valid English score is converted TOEIC, TEPS or TOEFL score within 2 years from the exam date. Those who don’t have TOEIC, TEPS or TOEFL score for some reasons can take the English examination given by their department and replace TOEIC, TEPS or TOEFL score, according to the decision of the selection committee.

6. Enforcement date
This regulation applies to those who graduate after March of 2004.
