Introduction
The Computer Engineering and Information Technology Graduate Program is committed to providing students with theoretical knowledge in the field of computer engineering and information technology and equipping them with the capacity to practically apply knowledge and experience gained in the field. The program also aims to cultivate the students as innovative experts by building their research and development capabilities and enabling them to contribute to the growth and well-being of society.

Educational objectives are as follows:
1. To enhance knowledge and ability to translate information to real world situations.
2. To build competencies in research, development and innovation.
3. To groom professionals who will make meaningful contributions to society.
Educational content
■ Important Department Rules for International Students

1. Rules for Thesis Submission Qualification
① Masters Programs:
Master Program Candidates should pass the Thesis Submission Qualifying Examination and should meet the following criteria:
- Master Program Candidate should submit a paper to a Korean Journal or International Journal as a first author.

② Doctoral Programs
Doctoral Program candidates should pass the Thesis Submission Qualifying Examination and should meet one of the following two criteria:
(a) Doctoral Program candidates should have at least one paper published/accepted as a first author in an international journal (SCIE, SCI)
(b) Doctoral Program candidates should have at least two papers published/accepted as a first author in the KCI journal or international journal recommended by our department.

③ For the Comprehensive Qualifying Examination, the graduate candidate should undertake at least one exam in a field/course provided by a professor other than his/her direct advisor.
④ For the English Qualifying Examination, the graduate candidate should submit one of the following official English Test certificates that satisfy the following requirements: TOEIC: 620 or above, TOEFL: 500 or above (CBT: 170 or above, IBT: 60 or above), TEPS: 520 or above, IELTS: 5.0 or above, LATT: 60 or above. In the case of foreign students, he or she may submit a Korean Language Test certificate instead of an English certificate that satisfies the following requirements: TOPIK: level 2 or above, KLPT: 240 or above.

2. Date of Enforcement

① This first operational provision has been come into effect from the students who has graduated on Feb. 2012.
② This revised article 1-④ for foreign students will come into effect from the students who enter on Mar. 2012.
