Nurturing experts in culture equipped with international capability!

The 21st Century is the age of culture.

The History and Culture major is for those who are trying to broaden their view of history, the infrastructure of culture, and want to have insights into the development of culture in history.

Our department is trying to make a balanced understanding of history and culture embodied as the ability to win through the reality and lead of the future.

Cultural experts leading the new age should be equipped with a comprehensive understanding and practical abilities dealing with history, culture, language and documental information.

For these reasons, our curriculum focuses on nurturing experts who have developed international capabilities through a 4-year major.

Step by step, completion of this major and the diverse double major makes history and culture majoring students go into the society with the abilities and confidence of leaders of the 21st Century featuring unlimited international cultural information competitiveness.

Lectures in history and culture are always new, interesting, and useful so that they can raise understanding and majoring students can apply their abilities and develop their creativity.
Educational objectives
History and Culture department aims to nurture cultural experts with international capability.

1. Develop historical consciousness by training a critical view of history.
2. Develop problem/solution abilities based on elaborate analysis and comprehensive understanding of facts and phenomena.
3. Cultivate ability to develop logical and exact arguments based on logical thoughts confirmed through an understanding of history.
4. Develop their ability as culture experts leading the cultural age of the 21st Century through understanding different histories and cultures in different parts of the world.
